Carrie Swiggum is a freelance writer, editor and radio producer, based in British Columbia and Minnesota.
My stories have appeared in The Globe and Mail, CTV News, Mental Floss, Utne Reader and on the air at CJMP (Powell River, BC) and KFAI (Minneapolis/St. Paul) community radio.
In 2011, I reported and co-produced a multimedia story about aging Canadian prisoners with CBC contributor Lisa Hale, which won a silver-medal COPA award (Canadian Online Publishing Awards). The story led from our role as researchers with the UBC Law Innocence Project.
